As lng/lat moves towards ubiquity, attributes and metadata take center stage. Recognizing the value in normalizing vast pools of user generated or commercially-sourced data, Urban Mapping has developed hybrid skills in the area of data curation. Through Urban Mapping’s cloud-based Mapfluence platform, developers are able to tap into a wealth of geographic data spanning thousands of content layers available for visualization and geo-analytics. By using geoinfrastructure in the cloud, web-based GIS + on-demand data is only a few lines of JavaScript away.
